Leadership

Ainsworth Evangelical Free Church is blessed to have a leadership team who are truly dedicated to Christ and accomplishing His will. Following are brief bio's of our leadership team.

Daniel Johnson

Interim Senior Pastor

Encouraging Verse: Romans 15:5,6

May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Pastor Dan and his wife Ellen have been married since 1984. They have two daughters . . . Kara - living in Danville, Indiana and Kaela - living in Cedarville, Ohio with her husband Caleb & their 2 children Silas and Reuben, plus one child on the way as they wait for their adoption placement . . . They also enjoy 3 grand-dogs . . . 2 mini Goldendoodles & one Irish setter. Dan and Ellen both grew up living in Illinois and Indiana. Once married they have lived in Colorado, Indiana, South Carolina, Michigan, and now the Sandhills of Nebraska!

Dan accepted Christ as a child and was raised by parents who encouraged him to grow in his faith. Through the years he was intentional about using his gifts in ministry. He always had a desire to become a pastor but it wasn't until he was 40 that the possibility of seminary became a reality. He earned his MDiv from Columbia Biblical Seminary in Columbia, SC. Having served as Senior Pastor for the past 15 years, He is now serving churches in transition as an Interim Pastor with IPM - Interim Pastor Ministries. His heart is to encouraging and equip others to reach their community and world with the gospel!

You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you.

Encouraging Verse: Galatians 4:4-7

But when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those under the law, that we might receive adoption to sonship. Because you are his sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, “Abba, Father.” So you are no longer a slave, but God’s child; and since you are his child, God has made you also an heir.
