“Look after each other so that none of you fails to receive the grace of God.  Watch out that no poisonous root of bitterness grows up to trouble you, corrupting many.” ~Hebrews 12:15 (NLT)

God’s Word doesn’t leave us much “wiggle room” when it comes to resolving bitterness!  It is ALWAYS God’s will for us to resolve this poisonous root.  Maybe you’ve heard the saying:  “Holding onto bitterness is like drinking poison, hoping the other person will get sick”.  We can RELEASE the hurt others cause us, the chain of anger and bitterness toward them, and the person who has hurt us into God’s Almighty Hands!  We can receive back His wonderful, healing grace in place of the pain.  It can really help to walk through this process with another person who can come alongside, accept us right where we are, try to understand what got us there, and truly care about what has been experienced.  Great freedom can come as we release bitterness and embrace GRACE.  Feel free to email Wendy Wilkins if you would like to explore this more! wendy.thegreatexchange@gmail.com

Monthly Prayer Focus:  Pray that we will be people who “seek peace and pursue it” (Psalm 34:14).  Pray that we experience the Lord’s awesome freedom that comes when we allow Him to resolve the bitterness in our hearts and replace it with His wonderful, healing GRACE.
