Interim Pastor Visit

Here are the three topics, “Does it Matter, Hand of God, Design.” Make sure to catch all three messages. After Session 3 on Sunday, at about 12:15pm we will have a brief Business Meeting.

Roxanne Philben has accepted an offer to serve as a Deaconess. Josh Titus (Deacon), Brad Wilkins (Elder), and Kevin Scheer (Elder) have accepted the offer to serve a second three-year term. Any church member may contact the Nominating Committee with regard to the eligibility of any candidate. Any questions or concerns will be addressed by the committee, and any necessary changes on the ballot for the next membership meeting will be made. Nominating Committee members are: Katie Nelson (at large), Ginger Brockman (Deaconess), Brad Kroll (Deacon), Joel Barrow (Elder), and Scotty Clark (Pastor).

A new directory is on its way. We will be taking new pictures of everyone over the next two weekends, September 7 & 8, 14 & 15. Come ready to smile!


Adventure Bay

September 8th will be the Sunday that all of the kids will move up to their classes corresponding with their school grade. 


High School

The High School students will join the adults in fellowship and discussion with Pastor Dan on Sunday. (And of course potluck!)


Ladies’ Bible Study

Please join us for our regular study “Walking With God in the Desert”, starting September 11th. We meet on Wednesdays, 9:30-11:00 am in the “ROCK” room (west wing) at the church.

E-Free Servers!

We have volunteered to serve our community by serving at the new Ainsworth Movie Theater. The E-Free servers would serve at the; theater every six to eight weeks. To join this team, and to get more information, contact Nadine Starkey at (402) 760-3855.

Joel Carpenter is leading the Wednesday night Blaze High School youth group here at the church for the school year. He has picked up where Logan and Jayden Philben left off with the curriculum Gospel Journey. Then he and the students will re-evaluate what to study next. If you have any questions, you can contact Joel at 402-322-9910.


Red Cross Blood Drive!

The blood drive is this Thursday, August 29th 11:00am to 4:00pm, here at the church. To volunteer to help, or to donate, contact Sharon Hart at 402-273-4541.

Food Pantry

Our Local Ministerial Association collectively has a food pantry and a transient fund. If you would like to donate food, there is a labeled cabinet in the foyer. It is there year around. If you would like to give financially then make a check out to the E-Free Church and note that it is for the Food Pantry or Transient Fund. Also, your Red & White and H&R bonus points can go to the Food Pantry.


Guatemala in February 2020

Exciting things are happening at our sister church in Guatemala. They have been remodeling the Sunday School classrooms in the church building. Would you like to go and see how this has been done? Are you being called to go? More information is available by signing up on the sheet on a table in the fellowship area, by contacting Sheila Peterson, Travel Coordinator, 402-760-1265, or by contacting any member of the Mission Team. Applications are due by the end of September.

Good news!

Joel Carpenter will be leading the Wednesday night Blaze High School youth group here at the church for the school year. Baptism Sunday, August 18th at 1:30pm

   Please join us at Camp Witness. We will be baptizing Mason Titus! And possibly you! Then back to the church after the baptism to celebrate. Mason will be receiving a Bible from the church. The Bible is set up in the Fellowship Area. Make sure to go and highlight your favorite verse, passage, write a note, or simply sign your name.

   If you are interested in being baptized, contact Pastor Mick or Pastor Scotty immediately after service! If you have ever been baptized by Pastor Mick or Pastor Scotty, we have a baptism shirt for you. Ask Pastor Scotty.

Guatemala in February 2020

Baptism Sunday, August 18th at 1:30pm

Please join us at Camp Witness. We will be baptizing Mason Titus! And possibly you! Then back to the church after the baptism to celebrate. Mason will be receiving a Bible from the church. The Bible is set up in the Fellowship Area. Make sure to go and highlight your favorite verse, passage, write a note, or simply sign your name.

Sunday Morning Connection Time

11:20am to 12:00pm is our fellowship time. Join us back in the sanctuary at about 11:20am, Hugh Smith with Voice of the Martyrs will be sharing more about the ministry. Or, enjoy the Keurig machines, snacks and treats, and each other’s company in the Fellowship Area while Children, and Middle School meet.


The High School Class (this Sunday, during second hour) will join the adults for the Voice of the Martyrs presentation.

Our next trip to Guatemala is set for February 20-25, 2020. Applications for the trip are due at the end of September. Please pray about being a part of the team that will be traveling.
