Economic Empowerment Program

Through our partnership with World Orphans we support an economic empowerment program in Guatemala. WO has this program in place to help locals develop small businesses to provide for their families. The team that recently traveled has purchased many of their souvenirs to share with you. These souvenirs are set up in the Fellowship Area, and are available for a freewill donation. For us it is not so much about the items as much as it is supporting people that are building and establishing long-term skills and provision. Please stop by and give an offering to support this Economic Empowerment Program.

Monthly Prayer Gathering (2nd Wed. of the month) meets this Wednesday at 6:00pm.

Sermon Notes

February 23 & 24, 2019

Text:  2 Corinthians 5:11-6:2

Title:  Walk the Walk

D2S G.O.S.P.E.L.!!!!!

God created us to be with Him.

Our sins separate us from God.

Sins cannot be removed by good deeds.

That is the bad news. Here is the Good News.

Paying the price for sin, Jesus died and rose again.

Everyone who trusts in Him alone has eternal Life.

Life with Jesus starts now and lasts forever.

Acknowledge that you are a sinner, repent and put your faith and trust in Him.

Grace and Truth Church - January Family Profile

Their information is posted on the bulletin board this month.

Dear Church Family,

Rolf and I want to thank everyone so much for their support with prayers, food, supplies, rides, and so many other blessings.  The last few months have been quite a change in our lifestyle as we deal with the progression of Sue’s cancer, but having so many people behind us does ease the burden.

Gratefully,

Rolf and Sue Glerum

Ladies…

Valentine’s Brunch & Prayer Sister Event

All ladies are invited to the church on Saturday, February 9th, at 10:00 am.

Please come and enjoy good food and friendship as we are reminded of God’s love and care for us.

If you want to be a part of our Prayer Sisters group, we will be choosing names that morning as well.

Food Pantry

Our Local Ministerial Association collectively has a food pantry and a transient fund. If you would like to donate food, there is a labeled cabinet in the foyer. It is there year around. If you would like to give financially then make a check out to the E-Free Church and note that it is for the Food Pantry or Transient Fund. Also, your Red & White and H&R bonus points can go to the Food Pantry.

Missing – We are looking for a pair of men’s gloves that were lost at the church. If you find them, please drop them off in Miriam’s office.

Child Dedication - Sunday, January 27th

There will be a time during Sunday service when the church will join together with parents and agree to raise their children in Christ. If you are interested in dedicating your child, or children to Christ, then contact Pastor Mick or Pastor Scotty.

Attention Shoebox Shoppers!

This month we are collecting empty prescription bottles, bars of soap, washcloths, giftwrap, and used Christmas cards. There is a drop off box in the kitchen. Thanks for your help in sharing the love of Jesus with children around the world!

Adding to the Team

Our church has teams that help provide food and assistance at funerals and memorial services. These teams rotate schedules and consist of three members each. If you would like to help those who are grieving the loss of a loved one by serving in this way or have questions, please contact Carlene Burrows at (402) 376-5615.

What’s your story?

Do you have a story of something God has done in your life?

Or possibly a song, a poem, or something that reflects God’s beauty?

Consider sharing with the congregation Sunday mornings.

Please talk with Pastor Scotty.
