Book Review – Stop by our church library.

“Do you see our invisible children?” is the question at the conclusion of a book in our church library. The book, When Invisible Children Sing was written by Chi Huang. It is a touching and sometimes painful book about the street children in La Paz, Bolivia. Dr. Chi, a physician at Boston Medical Center, went to Bolivia to work with homeless children. He wanted to do something about the thousands of children who live in filth, disease and squalor – children who live on the streets and sleep in the sewers. Dr. Chi would go out at night to treat the children’s injuries and sickness, tell them about God and sing with them. He is the founder of the Bolivian Street Children Project.

It’s Time to Pack Shoeboxes!

The Countdown has begun for National Collection Week!  If you are planning to pack shoeboxes, they’re due to Ainsworth EFC by Sunday, Nov. 12.  If you need more information, would like to make a donation, or need a shoebox to fill, come see us at the shoebox table in the Fellowship Hall.  Thank you for your amazing support all year long of the Operation Christmas Child shoebox ministry. We have so many willing shoppers and packers with a heart for God’s children.  Blessings to you all!  Konny and Clisty

Help us celebrate Pastor Appreciation Month this October!

If you would like to give a monetary gift, please designate that it is a Pastor Appreciation gift and place it in the offering.

Get creative with your own ideas, or use one of the following:

- Shower your pastors with gift cards to their favorite stores and restaurants (iTunes, Amazon, grocery stores, etc.).

- Offer to babysit or petsit so your pastors can get away for a weekend.

- Rake all their leaves!

- Organize a card/letter shower where people say what they appreciate about our pastors.

- Offer to clean a pastor’s house.

- Dedicate time to pray for your pastors each week, but let them know you are praying!
