Guest Preacher Kerry Relihan

Missions Catalyst for the Midwest District EFCA

Sermon Title: Who's Who in His Story

Passage: Psalm 110

         Pastor Kerry Relihan has served as Senior Pastor at Stromsburg EFC for over 28 years.  He and his wife, Joanne, have four boys the youngest of which is a sophomore at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln.  Tim and Emily served on staff at KSU with the NAVs for five years and are in the Dominican Republic.  Daniel, David and Matthew love serving in their churches to make disciples. 

         Kerry has served in helping with MWD church plants, ministry in New Orleans, international church planting in Tatarstan Russia, Gypsy ministry in Peny Russia, teaching at Trinity Video Seminary, outreach among the Sea Tribes People, and refugee ministry in Athens Greece.  He also served on the International Missions Board of the EFCA for six years.  He has participated in ministry at Timberlake Ranch Camp and the Columbus and Living Water Rescue Missions.  He recently was called to work as Missions Catalyst for the Midwest District EFCA.

Food Pantry

Our Local Ministerial Association collectively has a food pantry and a transient fund. If you would like to donate food, there is a labeled cabinet in the foyer. It is there year around. If you would like to give financially, then make a check out to the E-Free Church and note that it is for the Food Pantry or Transient Fund. Also, your Red & White and H&R bonus points can go to the Food Pantry.


Did you know?  There is a 9:30am, Wednesday morning Women’s Bible study.

Come and listen as we practice, or share a verse that you know.  Accept a challenge to memorize a verse with us, or choose one of your own.  

For the month of November we will be working on verses of Thanksgiving!

Chili & Soup Fundraiser

Sunday, October 21st - 12:15pm, here at the church

This is a freewill fundraiser that will go to the January traveling team going to Guatemala.


Monthly Men’s Breakfast - Last Thursday of the Month This month it is the 25th, from 6:00am to 7:00am.


We need empty shoeboxes! If you have any please drop them off in the kitchen. Thank you!

Tech Room Volunteer

We are looking for more help in the Tech Room. It is probably not as scary as it sounds. “If you can run a smart phone, you will probably be just fine.” ~ Brad Kroll. We are especially looking for coverage for Saturday Services. Maybe you serve Saturday in tech, and attend on Sunday morning? To sit in and see how it works, contact Brad Kroll, Jonathan Seidel, or Paul Carpenter.

Shoebox Supplies

Here at E-Free we collect Operation Christmas Child gift shoebox supplies year around. There is a drop off spot in the kitchen. Many different items make for great shoebox gifts. If you are not sure what to bring, this month of October we are looking for clothing (youth size 2-14), flip flops, socks, and pretty hair accessories.


Young Family in Need

There is a young family that is new to our area and has a few needs. They have four young children (girls 10, 9, & 8 years and a 5 year old boy). Their needs range between clothes and food, to a twin bed.
